We started Virden Home shortly after we became homeowners ourselves. We realized how special our home was to us and took great pride in all the projects we did in it to make it ours. SAM VIRDEN.
Sam Virden is a carpenter, entrepreneur, and co-owner of Virden Home. Born in New York City and raised in South Orange, NJ, he has an affinity for the character and charm of his hometown and surrounding neighborhoods. He’s interested in restoration, giving back to his community, and uplifting every neighborhood equally. Although having a degree in sociology, Sam spent most of his youth working with various contractors, production, and fabrication companies. With 16+ years of experience, Sam has a wide array of commercial, residential, and production talent.
TERÉSA VIRDEN.
Terésa Virden is the second half of Virden Home. She started working in design when she was 14 years old. With a degree in fine arts, she has made her career as a production manager, designer, and entrepreneur. She strongly believes in the quality of her craft and strives to break the taboo of women in the construction world. She specializes in the design phase and finish-work, but you will see her at every job site getting her hands dirty with the rest. Her other passions include professional organization and gardening.
